This scholarship is offered to students who have applied to study a taught postgraduate (Masters) degree at BU beginning in January 2010 and who can demonstrate they already have an outstanding academic and personal profile.
Which countries must students be a national of to be eligible for this scholarship?
You can apply for this scholarship if you are a national of any non-EU country.
How many scholarships are awarded?
The number of scholarships awarded depends on the Academic School at BU:
- School of Design, Engineering & Computing: unlimited
- School of Services Management: unlimited
There are also a number of Business School scholarships available to students applying for taught postgraduate (Masters) degree in the Business School.
How much is the scholarship worth?
School of Design, Engineering & Computing: £1000 reduction in tuition fee.
School of Services Management: £1000 reduction in tuition fee.
How long does the scholarship last for?
The scholarship is for the duration of the Masters course as described in the prospectus and the Course Search.
Which courses are covered by the scholarship?
All full-time Masters degrees offered in the Academic Schools listed above on the BU campus.

There are also a number of Business School scholarships available to students applying for taught postgraduate (Masters) degree in the Business School.
Am I eligible to apply for this scholarship?
You must be a national of a country outside the EU at the time of application for your course at BU and for fees purposes you must be classified as having the status of an international (non-EU) student.
How do I apply?
You need to apply for a BU International Postgraduate Scholarship after you have received an offer for your course.
You will be sent a scholarship application form with your offer letter which you will need to complete and return with your acceptance form and deposit to the address on the form.
You must hold a conditional or unconditional offer to apply for this scholarship.
What factors will be considered in deciding if I am eligible for this scholarship?
You must be able to demonstrate an exceptional academic and personal profile to be considered for this scholarship.
Financial need cannot be taken into consideration.
When is the deadline for applying for this scholarship?
Application forms for this scholarship for courses beginning in January 2010 must be received at BU by 30 November 2009.
When will I hear if I have been successful?
If you are applying for a course beginning in January 2010 you will be notified by 15 December 2009 if you have been successful in being awarded a scholarship.
When do I receive the scholarship?
You will need to meet all the conditions of your offer to receive this scholarship.
You will receive the scholarship in the form of a tuition fee reduction when you enrol on one of the eligible courses.
