The University of Edinburgh - International Master's Scholarships 2010

Postgraduate Scholarships Available for 2010 Entrants

The University of Edinburgh will be offering 30 International Master's Scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year.

10 of these Scholarships ("Homecoming Scotland" Scholarships) have a value of £5,000 while 20 fall under the Global Master's Scholarships Scheme and have a value of £3,000 each.

The deadline for receipt of applications for both Scholarships is the 1st April 2010 and applicants shoud complete an online application in order to be considered for these awards.

Edinburgh Global Master's Scholarships


The University of Edinburgh will offer 20 Master's scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University for the 2010-2011 academic session.

Each scholarship will have a value of £3,000 which will be tenable for one academic year.


Eligibility

The scholarships will be awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master's programme of study at the University of Edinburgh from the following countries:

Africa (List of African Countries) Mexico
Canada Middle East (List of Middle East Countries)
China Norway
Hong Kong Russia
India Singapore
Japan Taiwan
Korea Thailand
Malaysia USA


Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University of Edinburgh and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.

Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.

Selection Procedure

A Selection Committee will meet in late May 2010 to select the scholarship holders. The winners of the scholarships will be announced in early June 2010.
