Sheffield Hallam University International Achievement Scholarships - UK

Our International Achievement Scholarships programme is open to students from any non-EU country applying to study at Sheffield Hallam University in 2008/09. All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses are taking part in the programme.

The scholarships, worth between £1000 and £4000 will be awarded to well-qualified students who demonstrate academic, personal or professional achievement in the personal statement on their scholarship application form. Successful applicants will be awarded with a cheque and a certificate to mark their achievement at a Prizewinners Reception.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for an undergraduate scholarship you must:

-be classed as an international student for fees purposes
-have a high standard of secondary education
-have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent*
-have given a firm or insurance acceptance of your offer
-be able to evidence achievement in your personal statement

To be eligible to apply for a postgraduate scholarship you must:

-be classed as an international student for fees purpose
-have a good undergraduate degree
-have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent*
-be able to evidence achievement in your personal statement

The Scholarships Panel will consider the quality of the personal statement alongside academic achievement when allocating scholarships. The decision of the Panel is final.

* Please note that IELTS 6.0 or equivalent is the minimum English language requirement to be eligible for the International Achievement Scholarship and that the English language requirement for entry onto some of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses may be higher.

Exclusions
Please note that you can only be awarded one Sheffield Hallam University scholarship or bursary. If, for example, you are successful in applying for an International Achievement Scholarship, you would not be eligible to receive an International Access Scheme bursary.
Students who come to the University through our partnership with TAR College Malaysia may not apply for these scholarships.
